Heleen
& Adarsh Williams
have a dedication to practice, research, and share the Ashtanga
method in an authentic way. They have experience working
with a wide variety of students of diverse abilities,
ages, and backgrounds.
They maintain daily classes for those interested in developing
a personal practice. There is a firm belief that the method
is actually the "teacher" and the best instructor
is one that inspires students to "practice, practice,
practice."

Adarsh
Williams
Adarsh
has practiced meditation and yoga since 1995. Although
initially not interested in the "physical"
aspects of yoga (hoping for accidental enlightenment),
he came to embrace the rigorous disciplines of yoga
and martial arts. He continues to investigate a variety
of traditions both ancient and contemporary. Since 1998,
Adarsh has taught yoga, meditation, and bodywork full
time.
Since 2001,
Adarsh has practiced under the guidance of Pattabhi
Jois and his family including Sharath and Saraswati.
He is an authorized teacher by Sri K Pattabhi Jois and
the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute.

Heleen
Zondag-Williams
Heleen
started practicing yoga in 1992 during college in the
Netherlands. For 8 years she practiced Sivananda Yoga
and eventually completed the TTC (teacher training course)
at the ashram in upstate New York.
Shortly after, Heleen moved to London to pursue life
as a yoga teacher which in turn led her to a position
of General Manager at one of London's best known dance
and holistic centres. During this time 2000-04, she
studied Ashtanga Yoga with Liz Lark and John Scott.
John inspired her to go to Mysore and study with Sri
K. Pattabhi Jois. After meeting Guruji on his world
tour in 2001 she traveled to India the following year
to study at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute.

Heleen
and Adarsh co-teach many of their classes. They aim to
give students a foundation in traditional yoga, which
is practical and non-dogmatic. Both are skilled in verbal
and manual adjustments and have the ability to convey
the essence of the practice whether it be grounded in
the physical or subtle realms.
A
& H have an ongoing connection to their teachers
in India. They have each made multiple trips to India
both as individuals and as a couple. Their latest trip
to Mysore in 2007 was especially notable as they discovered
Heleen was pregnant with their first baby. In January
'08 they welcomed the birth of their son Evan Tomas.
Evan got to meet Guruji at the opening of his new shala
in Florida. Their next trip to India will be as a family.
